On this day in 1999 Leeds played Huddersfield in Super League and recorded their fourth win of the season. Coming into this game the Rhinos had won their last game against Hull Sharks and in this game managed to get two consecutive win for the first time that season. It was also the week before the Challenge Cup final against London Broncos so the team were looking to go into that important game on the back of a win. Marcus St Hilaire, Brad Godden, Francis Cummins, Daryl Powell, Ryan Sheridan and Adrian Morley all scored a try each and Leroy Rivett showed the try scoring ability that would help Leeds clinch the Cup by touching down twice in this game. Francis Cummins kicked three goals and Iestyn Harris added three more to see the team win 42-20.
