The Rhinos raced out to an early 16-0 lead thanks to tries from Rob Burrow, Danny McGuire and Ryan Hall as the heaven's opened at Castleford.
However the home side showed all the commitment and skill that has made them a major threat in Super League this year by pegging the Rhinos back 16-16.
McGuire then took the Rhinos back in front before Michael Shenton scored an equalising try. However, Shenton then had no option but to gift the Champions the win by picking up Brent Sherwin's spilled kick in the last second and handing Kevin Sinfield the chance to win the game.
