In a move that underlines engage Super League's position as the 'Best value for money sport in the UK'*, a family of four will have a choice of two family tickets for the Old Trafford showpiece final - one at £55 and the other at £79.
The £55 family tickets at full price would cost £84, providing a saving of nearly 35%, where as the £79 family offer, at full price would cost £124, a 36% discount.
Additionally, it is also set to become even easier for supporters to pay for tickets for major Rugby League events. Later this month the RFL will launch a new payment plan that allows supporters to pay for tickets in four monthly instalments rather than in a traditional one lump sum.
Phil Williams, the RFL's Marketing Manager, said: "Rugby League has always prided itself on its affordability and being the family sport. For the last six months we've been looking at a number of ways to help make our main events even more accessible to our core family audience.
"We believe these two initiatives do just that and cement our place as the best value for money sport in the UK."
Launched in conjunction with Premium Credit Services, the new '14th Man Payment Plan' will allow supporters to pay for the majority of this year's big matches, including the engage Super League Grand Final and the Carnegie Challenge Cup Final, over four monthly direct debit payments.
There is no limit to the amount of tickets that can be purchased, and to take advantage supporters will be charged either four per cent of the total ticket price or £15, whichever is greater.
Phil Williams added: "We understand it can be expensive to take a family or large party to a major sporting event and that is why we think our payment plan is the solution.
"It makes it even easier for our supporters to attend a major Rugby League event by giving them the option to spread their payments over a period of time."
The events that are covered by the '14th Man Payment Plan' are as follows:
Northern Rail Cup Final - 12 July
Carnegie Challenge Cup Final - 29 August
Co-operative Championship Finals Day - 4 October
engage Super League Grand Final - 10 October
Gillette Four Nations - from 24 October to 14 November
