The two West Yorkshire rivals fought out four huge battles last season with Leeds edging a high scoring league encounter and Wakefield recording a big win at Rapid Solicitors Stadium. Leeds knocked the Wildcats of the Challenge Cup and the play offs at Headingley Carnegie so Agar's men will certainly be motivated on Boxing Day.

The side includes four former Rhinos with Richard Mathers, Peter Fox, Lee Smith and Ali Lauitiiti all returning to their former stomping ground whilst young prop James Healy is the only player outside of the Wildcats first team squad to be included. He is the grandson of former Trinity forward George Ballantyne as was formerly on the Leeds Scholarship having played at Hunslet Parkside.
