The Rhinos Junior Academy kept up their challenge for top spot with a convincing 26-6 over Hull at Headingley last Friday. The Under 18's are now just two points behind leaders Wigan having played a game more but with just three games remaining it would take a massive effort to gain the Minor Premiership. The Rhinos face back to back games against third place Widnes starting this Friday at Headingley, kick off 5.45pm, before entertaining Castleford on the last day of the season. By contrast Wigan play bottom side Salford in their game in hand, then Huddersfield away before back to back games against Hull. The Rhinos man of the match against Hull was substitute Mark Watts. With centre Michael Brown collecting two tries and one apiece for Danny Allan, Matthew Whitaker and Kyle Briggs. Briggs also kicked three goals. The Rhinos had a narrow 6-0 lead at half time before pulling away in the second half to win 26-6.
