Former Rhinos Assistant Coach Mick Cook was last night named LHF League Two Coach of the Year after leading York City Knights to promotion in his first season at the club.
Former Rhinos Assistant Coach Mick Cook was last night named LHF League Two Coach of the Year after leading York City Knights to promotion in his first season at the club. Cook joined the Knights at the start of the season as part of a ground breaking initiative between the Rhinos and Knight. The former Sheffield hooker was first cut his coaching teeth with the Rhinos Academy sides and has been assisted this season at the Knights by Rhinos Director of Rugby Daryl Powell. There was also good news for another Rhino at the Knights last night as young winger Peter Fox was named in the National Three Team of the Year. Fox spent this season at the Knights and will return to Headingley for next season. He was the Divison's top try scorer with 25 tries in the Knights, 21 of which came in the League.
