MCKENNA & MCDERMOTT SET TO RETURN FOR RHINOS Test pair Chris McKenna and Barrie McDermott are set to return for the Rhinos for the visit of Huddersfield Giants on Friday night at Headingley. McDermott missed last week's win at Widnes with a knee injury whilst McKenna was 18th man on that occasion but both are likely to feature against the Giants. Teenagers Lee Smith and Scott Murrell both drop out on the initial 20 man squad named earlier in the week but Tony Smith will delay naming his starting line up until the day of the game. The squad in full is: 1. Richard Mathers 2. Mark Calderwood 3. Chev Walker 4. Keith Senior 5. Marcus Bai 7. Rob Burrow 8. Ryan Bailey 10. Barrie McDermott 11. Ali Lauitiiti 12. Chris McKenna 13. Kevin Sinfield (c) 14. Andrew Dunemann 15. Danny Ward 16. Willie Poching 18. Jamie Jones-Buchanan 20. Gareth Ellis 21. Liam Botham 22. Nick Scruton
Leeds Rhinos Head Coach Brian McDermott says his team's preparations have gone well this week but there is no danger of the Rhinos underestimating a Hull KR side who have produced some impressive performances in the Cup this season.
Leeds Rhinos Chief Executive Gary Hetherington was joined by Jamie Jones-Buchanan and Liam Sutcliffe along with representatives from Hull KR, the RFL and the Parliamentary RL Group at the Cenotaph at Whitehall to pay their respects to those who made the ultimate sacrifice for their country.
It will be an emotional occasion for Doreen Ashton, the wife of the late Eric Ashton, tomorrow prior to the Ladbrokes Challenge Cup final when she sees her husband immortalised in bronze as a member of the Rugby League Legends Wembley Statue.
