This season we will break new ground by becoming the first club in the country to recruit male dancers on a permanent basis to our match day dance team.
The Rhinos have had a dance team since 1997 but we have now expanded the group who perform on match nights at Headingley Carnegie with the addition of six male dancers. The new development has come about thanks to a new sponsorship deal for the team from Leeds based company Spencer Properties.
Spencer Properties has over 40 years experience of providing quality student & professional accommodation in the Headingley and Leeds area.
Commenting on the new look team, Head of Marketing Abigail Furniss said, "We are always looking to improve and enhance our match day entertainment package for our supporters and the addition of male dancers will certainly make us stand out from the crowd. Dance has become extremely popular in recent years with girls and boys thanks to groups like Diversity on Britain's Got Talent and televisions programmes dedicated to dance. The new guys in the team will bring their experience of street dance to our own dance team and we can't wait to see them perform at Headingley Carnegie.

The Spencer Properties Leeds Rhinos Dance Team consists of 16 female dancers and six male dancers for this season with 14 performing on a match night. The male dancers will make their debut at the first home game on Friday 3rd February.
Since the Dance Team began they have managed to establish themselves as one of the most credible and renowned dance teams in the Super League. Dance is an integral part of the Leeds Rhinos and is part and parcel of every match-day at Headingley.

Hire the Spencer Properties Leeds Rhinos Team to liven up your event
The dance team are available for hire for social and corporate functions and promotional events. The team could add to your event by performing a dance team routine, handing out flyers or meeting and greeting guests.
