Since the team began we have managed to established ourselves as one of the most credible and renowned dance teams in the engage Super League. The Dance Team has been a part of match-day entertainment for many years and this season will be team’s 11th season at Headingley Carnegie. We have seen lots of different faces throughout the years, some have stayed with the team and others have gone onto other great things in the entertainment industry, which leads me to mention ex-Rhinos Dance Team members Amy, Laura, Lucie and Lauren, aka Project A, the girls are doing really well pursuing a career in the music industry so look out for them in the near future…. MTV beckons! Also we can’t forget to mention our golden oldies Nic, Kat and Christine who have been with the team since it’s humble beginning!
Dance is now an integral part of the Leeds Rhinos so there are more and more opportunities than ever for children and young people to dance with the Leeds Rhinos Dance Team.
In March 2009 Dance captain Nicola Booth launched the Rhinestones Junior Dance Academy with the help of the Leeds Rugby Foundation. The girls that attend the Rhinestones classes have been involved with numerous on pitch performances and took part in the Rhinestones first ever Christmas Cabaret. If you would like any information about the Rhinestones please contact nicola.booth@leedsrugby.com
Also look out for more information about our new look dance camps and dance parties coming soon!
The Dance Team are kindly sponsored by Radio Aire who are the official Radio Station of Leeds Rhinos. However, the girls are exclusive to the Rhinos and all of them are big fans too. Click here to view full profiles for each of the girls.
