Ronnie Rhino Assemblies
The Ronnie Rhino assemblies are centered around healthy lifestyles and "Creating a winning team in the classroom". So far this year the community team have delivered 51 assemblies to 15,300 primary school children.
During the assemblies the Rhinos' community team use the power of sport to echo the messages that the teachers in the schools send out to help create a winning team in the classroom and the appearance of Ronnie the Rhino is always met with huge affection by the children.
Coaching
The Rhinos Community Team visit schools in curriculum time to deliver Rugby League coaching sessions in primary schools, secondary schools and amateur clubs.
Community Development Office Jonny Wainhouse is responsible for the delivery of Rugby League coaching into secondary schools.
Women and Girls Development Officer Sian Hills works predominately in senior schools teaching the core fundamental skills of the game with the aim of enthusing girls to participate in sport and to increase the take up of the game amongst girls.
