The Rhinos Activity camps are the perfect way for any sports mad child to spend their school holidays. Through quality coaching, delivered from qualified coaches, the camps are designed to encourage both boys and girls to get involved and stay active. Whether the child is just starting out or has ambitions to play for the Rhinos one day they will enjoy a variety of activities, learning different skills, meeting new friends and having plenty of fun!

Since 2005 the Rhinos Community Team, under the auspices of the Leeds Rugby Foundation, have delivered a number of highly successful Activity Camps, which have attracted hundreds of children from across the region. The camps involve rugby coaching from the Leeds Rhinos community coaching team, dance classes from the Radio Aire Dance Team and multi sports sessions.

The aims of the sessions are to teach rugby and sports skills to children of all levels, as well as giving them the chance to exercise and have fun. The camps are led by Leeds Rhinos' RFL qualified community coaches and the multi sports sessions are led by experts in their field and are delivered in a safe and controlled environment.

The Leeds Rhinos Rugby Camp programme has grown from strength to strength over the years and in 2009 youngsters will be offered the chance to choose to take part in one or a combination of three different weekly programmes:- Activity, Dance and Rugby.

Leeds Rhinos May Half Term Skills School

The two day camp cost just £25 and will be held at the following venues:
Tuesday 31st May - Wednesday 1st June : Stanningley ARLFC
Thursday 2nd June - Friday 3rd June: Oulton Raiders ARLFC

The aim of the Rhinos Skills schools is to develop the young rugby players in all areas of the game whilst at the same time having fun in a safe and controlled environment. With top coaching by the Leeds Rhinos Community Team and supported by Leeds Rhinos rising Academy stars, plus visits from Leeds Rhinos players, this camp is not to be missed.
Camp attendees will be divided into groups according to age and position for a coaching programme tailored to the individuals needs.

U7's - U8's: Core skills including passing, carrying, handling
U9's - U11's: Core Skills including contact
U12's - U14's: Position specific coaching, Goal Setting and analysis

Each Attendee will also receive:
* Chance to take part in a half time pitch parade at the game Leeds Rhinos v Bradford Bulls on Friday 24th June, KO 8pm on a special match ticket offer
* Leeds Rhinos Goodie bag
* Chance to meet Leeds Rhinos players
